About Us

Love to Dream is a leading Australian baby sleep brand with a global presence, sold across Australia, the US, UK, EU, Asia, The Middle East and Canada. We are known for innovative design and uncompromising safety standards.

The Role

We are hiring a China-based Product Development Manager to join our existing at-source team. This is a product development role, not a production management role — your focus is executing design intention through to a production-ready product, bridging the journey from creative concept to an approved sample that is handed over to the production team. You will report directly to the Head of Design and Development in Sydney, and own factory development management, sample quality, colour approvals, compliance coordination, and packaging management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Factory development management: vendor assessments, capability tracking, and supplier relationships for product development (China and Vietnam)
  • Manage lab dip and strike-off approvals during development to achieve colour sign-off before production handover
  • Development sample inspections, fit sessions, and approval of gold-standard samples for production handover
  • Coordinate test lab assessments across all target markets
  • Own care label and packaging specification management
  • Day-to-day technical liaison between Love to Dream and Chinese factories
  • PLM data management and weekly progress reporting to Sydney

Requirements

  • Strong track record in apparel/textile/baby goods product development with direct factory management in China
  • Hands-on lab dip and strike-off assessment, Pantone proficiency
  • Knowledge of international baby product safety standards
  • Fluent Mandarin and strong professional English (written and spoken)
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel for tracking and reporting)
  • Willing to travel regularly to factories across China and Vietnam, with occasional visits to our Sydney head office
  • PLM system experience preferred (training provided)
  • Comfortable with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) preferred

How to Apply

To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter. Please include examples of technical illustration, tech packs, or PLM work if available.

If applying via the Linked In Easy Apply button, you will need to combine your cover letter with your CV into one document to upload. Alternatively, please submit your cover letter via inmail to the job poster.
