About Lyka:

Lyka was founded in 2018 by Anna Podolsky, inspired by her dog, Lyka, who was suffering from chronic health issues despite being on “premium” kibble. Together with Gabriel Guedes (COO) and Dr. Matthew Muir (Integrative Veterinarian), they built Lyka from the ground up with one core belief: better food can radically improve a pet’s healthspan and quality of life.

Lyka’s meals are vet-formulated and gently cooked from real food ingredients. Delivered via a flexible subscription model, Lyka meals have driven remarkable improvements for tens of thousands of customers, supporting gut health, reducing intolerances, improving energy and mobility, and even promoting hair growth.

What began as home-cooked meals has since scaled into one of Australia’s fastest-growing consumer companies, a vertically integrated, tech-enabled brand that is transforming pet health nationwide.

Lyka now operates from two offices, Sydney (HQ) and Melbourne, with three state-of-the-art food production facilities (two in Sydney, one in Melbourne) and a growing national footprint.

At Lyka, we’re not just selling pet food—we’re pioneering a new standard of wellness for pets. With strong product-market fit, deep customer love, and a track record of rapid growth, we’re now entering our most ambitious chapter yet: building a generational brand and category-defining business with global impact.

The role:

We’re on the hunt for a brand-obsessed, creative, and highly motivated multi-disciplinary Brand Designer to join our in-house Partnerships Marketing team at Lyka HQ in Alexandria. In this role, you’ll be the dedicated designer behind our Vet and Dog Partnerships channel. Reporting to the Senior Design Lead, you will be designing the moments, spaces, and materials that bring Lyka to life in clinics, at events, and in the hands of our partners.

This is a pivotal role in a fast-moving, collaborative team passionate about creating beautiful design with purpose. From immersive event activations and clinic environments to polished print collateral and partner toolkits, you’ll take projects from concept through to flawless delivery, helping grow Lyka’s presence across the partnerships ecosystem.

You’re confident in your craft, thrive in fast-paced environments, and love solving problems through design. You communicate openly, welcome feedback, and consistently deliver on deadline. Most importantly, you’re inspired by Lyka’s mission and bring a genuine love of dogs and passion for wellness and nutrition.

What you will do:

  • Design and art-direct event activations, trade shows, vet clinic environments, pop-ups, and experiential moments from concept and spatial layout through to roll-out.
  • Produce high-quality print collateral including brochures, in-clinic materials, partner toolkits, signage, merchandise, and event signage.
  • Deliver the creative output for Lyka’s Vet and Dog Partnerships channel, producing bold, considered, and on-brand design across spatial, event, print, and digital touchpoints.
  • Manage print production from brief to delivery, including supplier liaison, quoting, pre-press checks, proofing, and quality control.
  • Partner closely with the Partnerships Marketing team and Senior Design Lead to translate fast-moving briefs into compelling, commercially effective creative.
  • Help evolve and maintain Lyka’s visual identity within the partnerships channel, ensuring consistency across every brand touchpoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, balancing creativity with efficiency and hitting deadlines in a high-velocity environment.
  • Communicate proactively, sharing progress, raising blockers early, and incorporating feedback constructively.
  • Contribute to ideation and campaign development alongside designers, content creators, and partnership managers.
  • Design experience, with strong capability across brand design, event/retail design, and print production.
  • Tertiary qualification in design or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience delivering design across event activations, environmental design, and print collateral — ideally within FMCG, lifestyle, retail, B2B, or an in-house brand/creative team.
  • Working knowledge of print production: file setup and final art preparation, paper stocks and finishes, dielines, large-format output, and supplier coordination.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder skills — comfortable presenting work, asking clarifying questions, and keeping partners informed.
  • Open to feedback and proactive in iterating toward the best outcome.
  • Solid time and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • A strong eye for detail, craft, and consistency, with good taste and an awareness of trends and culture.
  • Passion for brand building, storytelling, and partnership-led marketing.
  • Nice to have: experience in pet wellness industry
  • Work in a fast-growing start-up, experiencing what goes on behind the scenes to sustain hyper-growth for a start-up with a physical product!
  • Growth and Development – Lyka is growing extremely quickly, which means you will have the opportunity to experience different challenges every day and progressively acquire more responsibilities as our facility and team expand.
