We're Hiring: DataOps Engineer | MA Financial Group – Asset Management

MA Financial Group is looking for a DataOps Engineer to join our Asset Management team. This is a full-time role within a growing 5-person team, reporting to the division’s senior leadership.

About the Role

As a DataOps Engineer, you will work at the intersection of data, automation, and cloud technology. You'll be responsible for designing and managing data pipelines, developing internal tools, and supporting cloud-based workflows—primarily using AWS. Your work will directly contribute to investment operations and broader business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage ETL/ELT data pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
• Develop and maintain internal web portals using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Integrate external data sources into internal systems for reporting and analytics
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, ECR, Lambda, S3, and Amplify
• Promote data quality, governance, and automation
• Collaborate with investment and operations teams to deliver tailored technical solutions
• Enhance system reliability and streamline internal workflows

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years’ experience in a DataOps or DevOps role
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Exposure to frontend/backend development using JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based SQL platforms
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD workflows
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
• Experience in financial services or asset management is a plus
