Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a vital and accountable supporting role in the successful execution of corporate advisory operations and deals and join a dynamic and high performing team.
The analyst's day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Producing and maintaining various databases including but not limited to: M&A transactions across the market, equity capital markets transactions across the market, MA Financial precedent transactions by sector
- Trading comparables and transaction comparables benchmarking
- Creating company profiles
- Gathering public information on companies such as financial data or shareholder information and manipulating it into different formats and/or conducting analysis
- Conducting thematic research such as sector specific or macroeconomic research
- Drafting and assisting in the preparation of marketing documents such as marketing pitchbooks, Information Memorandums, Management Presentations and other related documentation
- Financial modelling, company valuation and financial analysis
Key Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following personal and professional attributes:
- Undergraduate or similar degree level qualification in commerce / business
- 1 -3 years of financial services experience gained in a supportive role for a financial services or professional services firm such as an investment bank or accounting firm working in the corporate finance team
- Interest in investment banking, capital markets and M&A
- Excellent financial and analytical skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills and work ethic
- Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members
As part of the role, the successful candidate will undergo a 6-week training program in Australia to gain essential skills and experience.
