Responsibilities:

  • Applies a structured methodology to problem-solving, validating hypotheses, and designing effective solutions.
  • Supports key decision-making processes by delivering clear, data driven recommendations that create tangible benefits for the business.
  • Drives innovation by exploring new approaches to application, origination, settlement, and servicing activities for financial products.
  • Conducts thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and standardisation underpinned by a strong cost benefit lens.
  • Documents and contributes to the design of platform and process enhancements, providing detailed rationales and proposed improvements.
  • Clearly communicate insights, changes, and technical solutions across stakeholders to drive understanding and adoption.
  • Manages vendor relationships to maximise the performance, capability, and future potential of our technology solutions.
  • Assist in testing activities ensuring the quality and conformance to specification of deliverables.
  • Assess and document issues, actively identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identifying and escalating risks or issues, contributing to a culture of operational excellence and risk awareness.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' financial industry experience.
  • Proven experience supporting business transformation initiatives or strategy development programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a solution from initial business case through to delivery execution.
  • Strong understanding of applying technology solutions to solve business challenges.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise work, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks to meet project deadlines.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering data-driven insights.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels.
  • Experience working within various delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Proficiency in reporting and data visualisation tools such as Tableau is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirables:

  • Credit underwriting experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard application, origination, and settlement platforms such as NextGen ApplyOnline and Simpology LoanApp.
  • Experience with Salesforce in an Agile environment highly regarded.
  • Proactive mindset and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Adaptable to evolving business requirements and technological changes.
