About the role
This role is a 12-month maternity leave contract, presenting an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned FP&A professional to make an immediate impact within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
You will play a pivotal role, partnering with senior executives (Managing Directors, joint CEOs, and the Group CFO), influencing strategic financial decisions and contributing directly to the ongoing success and expansion of the business.
The role will be instrumental in supporting Group Investor Relations, responsible for drafting quarterly, half- and full-year presentations. This role is ideal for a seasoned FP&A professional seeking to leverage their experience in an ASX-listed high-growth environment, with potential for longer-term growth within the organisation.
Key responsibilities
Reporting & Analysis
- Lead monthly performance reporting across a number of asset classes including Core Real Estate, Alternative Investments, Real Estate Credit, and Hospitality.
- Provide clear analysis on financial performance, highlighting key variances to budget, forecasts, and prior periods.
- Partner closely with business units to identify performance drivers, recommend strategic adjustments, and track outcomes.
- Manage quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, aligning financial targets with strategic objectives.
- Responsible for drafting insightful and accurate narratives for ASX quarterly updates, half-year, and full-year Investor Relations communications.
- Continuously evaluate and communicate financial risks and opportunities effectively.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Serve as finance partner to senior executives including Managing Directors, joint CEOs, and the Group CFO.
- Facilitate strategic discussions and influence decision-making with actionable financial insights.
- Act as the central point of contact for strategic financial guidance, supporting operational efficiency and resource allocation decisions.
- Support General Manager, AM Finance, FP&A, and Financial Control team on matters relating to financial performance.
- Collaborate directly with Group FP&A and Investor Relations to align external financial messaging.
Process & System Enhancement
- Develop and refine financial models, dashboards, and metrics to improve financial decision-making.
- Lead initiatives to streamline FP&A processes, improve reporting quality, and leverage analytical tools effectively.
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability in financial reporting.
- Leverage technology solutions to enhance FP&A processes and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/CA qualification (5 years post-qualified experience).
- At least 7 years of FP&A experience, ideally within asset management, real estate, or banking sectors.
- Demonstrated experience partnering effectively with senior executives (CEO, CFO).
- Proven track record preparing executive-level narratives, ASX disclosures, and engaging with Investor Relations.
- Experience with enterprise forecasting software (Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Jedox or similar).
- Proficiency with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI)
Skills & Attributes
- Exceptional analytical capability and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis using Excel.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills; capable of effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with demonstrated capability in identifying and implementing process improvements.
