In Manila, our team provides vital financial services support to our global network. We are looking for a Finance and Tax Officer to join our Service Area Finance team — a key role ensuring compliance with Philippine taxation requirements while supporting Australian tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities
Philippines’ Taxation:
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.) per BIR regulations.
- Ensure timely submission of BIR and SEC requirements and monitor legislative changes.
- Handle tax audits and liaise with government agencies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and schedules for tax filings and audits.
- Support PEZA and BOI compliance, if applicable.
Australian Taxation:
- Assist Australian counterparts with GST, PAYG, income tax provisions, and other ad hoc tax matters.
- Support entity registration processes with the ATO (ABN/GST/income tax).
- Assist with FATCA/CRS compliance.
- Ensure alignment with Australian tax reporting timelines and standards.
General Finance Duties:
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate across teams to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation (BIR regulations: VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, statutory requirements)
- Basic knowledge of Australian GST, PAYG, and corporate tax obligations
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer literacy
Desirable:
- At least 3 years’ taxation experience in a Big 4 auditing firm
- Experience using CCH Tax Integrator Software
