About the Role

As a Senior Business Analyst – Lending Platform, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering platform, process, and product improvements across MA Money’s lending ecosystem.

This is a hands-on senior role suited to an experienced Business Analyst with deep residential lending knowledge. You will work closely with product owners, credit leaders, operations teams, and technology partners to define, design, test, and deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions across application, assessment, decisioning, and origination workflows.

You will bring structure to complex problems, provide clear direction to delivery teams, and support high-quality delivery outcomes by taking end-to-end ownership of analysis and testing for your initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

Leading Platform & Process Analysis

• Own end-to-end analysis for lending platform initiatives, from problem definition through to delivery and post-implementation validation.
• Facilitate workshops with brokers, credit, operations, product, and technology teams to uncover pain points, risks, and opportunities.
• Analyse current-state processes and design future-state workflows that balance customer experience, credit integrity, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, improved data capture, and decisioning enhancements.

Requirements, Solution Design & Testing

• Elicit, document, and manage clear business and functional requirements using appropriate artefacts (process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, data flows).
• Translate lending workflows and credit policy into practical system behaviour and workflow logic.
• Define clear, testable acceptance criteria and scenarios for all requirements.
• Support and participate in system and user acceptance testing, including executing test cases aligned to your own requirements.
• Test your own requirements and solution designs to ensure they function as intended and meet business outcomes.
• Partner with vendors and internal technology teams to clarify expected behaviour, edge cases, data requirements, and constraints.

Supporting Delivery & Change

• Support delivery teams through build, testing, and release phases, including defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution.
• Validate delivered solutions against real-world lending scenarios to ensure they work in practice, not just in theory.
• Contribute to change impact assessments, release communications, and operational readiness activities.
• Proactively identify risks, assumptions, and dependencies and work with stakeholders to manage them effectively.
• Ensure issues, risks, and defects are clearly documented, prioritised, and communicated.

Using Your Lending Expertise

• Challenge and validate proposed solutions using your deep understanding of residential lending and broker behaviour.
• Identify bottlenecks and inconsistencies in application, assessment, and origination journeys.
• Ensure platform changes align with credit policy, regulatory obligations, and operational realities.
• Help shape enhancements that improve broker experience, reduce manual effort, and support scalable growth.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on lending process and platform design decisions.

• Act as a senior member of the BA community, sharing best practice and supporting less-experienced analysts where required.
• Contribute to improving analysis standards, templates, and ways of working across the team.

Who We Are Looking For:

Business Analysis Experience

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with significant experience delivering technology or platform-enabled change.
• Strong capability across requirements elicitation, process modelling, solution design, and testing support.
• Experience working in agile, hybrid, or iterative delivery environments.
• Comfortable taking ownership of requirements through build, test, and release.
