Key Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Officer will be working with the Finance Team to ensure business meets its financial business requirements, ensuring that operational standards and deadlines are adhered to and contributing information to strategic plans whilst implementing productivity and a “CAN-DO attitude” approach to customer-service standards.

Daily Tasks

• Daily processing of invoices from the Accounts Payable email inbox
• Attending to email enquiries
• Setting up of new Suppliers following Company Policy
• Making sure all Purchase Orders are received in line with Company Policy
• Checking bank details in the AP system are correct with current invoices.
• Sending fortnightly remittance advices
• Assisting the Senior Accounts Payable Officer with payments runs if needed

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar full function accounts role with medium-high volume processing essential
• Accounting qualification equivalent to Bachelor’s degree or diploma
• Proficient knowledge of Accounting policies and standards
• Intermediate skills in MS Office and Excel is essential as well as working with multiple integrated systems
• Excellent communication and written/verbal skills essential

Preferred:

• Experience with Greentree (MYOB software)

• Experience with multi-site organisations if preferred
