About the Role
The Finance Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the Finance Systems & Operations team’s end-to-end ownership and governance of the Group’s finance systems landscape. The role has a strong focus on finance systems user support, including assisting with automation, AI-enabled productivity, and scalable process design. This role ensures that financial systems, particularly the General Ledger (Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations), accurately and efficiently captures financial transactions for the Group. The role plays a crucial part in maintaining the finance systems architecture including integration of existing finance systems, data flows and reducing manual intervention. The role supports enabling timely, high-quality financial reporting while partnering closely with finance, technology, and operations teams to streamline processes, leverage emerging tools (including AI), and support the Group’s growth and regulatory obligations
What You'll Do
Finance Systems
- Support the finance systems team to own and manage the core finance systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) (General Ledger), SAP Concur, Ex-Flow, Uber, Workday Adaptive Planning and related finance and reporting platforms.
- Key support role to users of the finance systems.
- Play a key role in ERP and finance system projects, including implementations and upgrades (Dynamics 365 and Adaptive Planning experience highly valued).
- Oversight and management of the integration of D365 and finance systems, ensuring accurate and automated posting of financial information.
- Manage system configurations to appropriately support complex transaction volumes, multi-currency environments, and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with third party technical support consultants.
Automation, AI & Process Efficiency
- Partnering with finance teams to proactively identify, design, and implement automation opportunities across finance processes to reduce manual effort, errors, and processing time.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve productivity in areas such as reconciliations, variance analysis, reporting preparation, and issue resolution.
- Help to drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify workflows, strengthen controls, and scale with business growth.
- Work closely with the technology data team to ensure efficient, timely and accurate use of finance data.
Process & Controls Optimisation
- Partner with the Group’s finance teams to oversee finance system processes to ensure they align with accounting standards and internal control frameworks.
- Support and maintain robust GL feeds, validation rules, and reconciliation processes across integrated systems.
- Contribute to the annual audit related to finance systems and processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with technology, operations and finance teams to help translate business requirements into system solutions.
- Act as a finance representative in system changes, platform enhancements, and new product initiatives.
- Document key finance systems processes and controls to drive collaboration with finance and technology teams.
Reporting & Data Enablement
- Support automated financial and management reporting through system integration and data optimisation.
- Enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and usability of finance data for decision-making including usage of SQL.
- Generate reports using data visualisation tools such as PowerBI/Tableau to provide insights to support finance decision-making.
User Enablement & Support
- Provide training, guidance, and documentation for finance users on system functionality and best-practice processes.
- Manage resolution of finance system issues.
- Work collaboratively across the finance systems team to ensure optimal use of team resources across home location and offshore teams.
- Enable and support the use of Jira and Confluence by the Group’s finance teams to manage and document their month end process and critical tasks.
- Support the optimisation and automation of employee travel spend and expense processing, managing data extraction from the expense platforms and ensuring timely, accurate, and automated posting to the GL.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years' experience in finance systems, controllership, financial transformation, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes including strong technology and accounting knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (strong understand of Dynamics 365 F&O) and reporting/BI tools in large, complex organisations.
- Experience with system integrations and process automation in complex, transaction-heavy environments.
- Intermediate SQL user.
- Exposure to AI-enabled tools or advanced automation within finance (or strong appetite and capability to adopt them).
- Experience with system implementations, upgrades and integrations including ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes.
- Detail-oriented, commercially minded, and a practical problem solver.
- High energy, proactive, and excellent communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
