We are looking for a Financial Accountant – Group Credit to join our dynamic finance team in Manila. This role will be instrumental in supporting the financial and operational requirements of our Group Credit business, which provides lending and investment solutions across a range of alternative asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Close and Reporting

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of month-end and reporting period-end close processes.
  • Prepare and post journals, including revenue, distributions, interest expense, accruals, amortisations, intercompany transactions, consolidation eliminations, and underlying transactions.

Reconciliations and Analysis

  • Complete timely and accurate reconciliations for consolidated credit entities, ensuring compliance with Group policies.
  • Assist in reviewing divisional profit and loss statements and provide commentary for the monthly management pack.

Legal Entity and Trust Accounting

  • Contribute to overall legal entity control for Group credit entities, including trust accounting, tax compliance, subsidiary financial statements, and regulatory adherence.

Transaction support and investment portfolio management

  • Facilitate payment settlements for Group Credit transactions, including lending transactions
  • Maintain our investment portfolio and contribute to projects on implementing a loan management system
  • Maintaining investment schedules and performing monthly reconciliations to support the accounting for loan drawdowns, interest accruals, principal and interest repayments and amortisation of capitalised fees/premiums/discounts, liaising with key internal stakeholders as required.

Tax Compliance

  • Support monthly and annual corporate tax processes, including the preparation and lodgement of BAS returns.

Group Financial Reporting and Audit

  • Assist the Group Finance team with year-end and half-year ASX financial reporting and audit processes.
  • Contribute to accounting technical papers and financial statement notes and respond to audit queries.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with key stakeholders to support new and existing Group Credit transactions, balance sheet investments, and consolidated credit fund activities.
  • Build strong relationships with the portfolio manager and investment team of the consolidated credit funds.

Operational Efficiency

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of Group Credit finance processes and procedures.

Partner with business and corporate teams to drive operational efficiency and process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Financial control experience with IFRS technical knowledge
  • Experience with fund/trust/investment accounting and financial reporting
  • CA or CPA qualified (2+ years post qualified)
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills
