About Moelis Australia / Corporate Advisory

This role sits within Moelis Australia, MA Financial Group’s Corporate Advisory division, which provides investment banking services and strategic financial advice to clients across mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, strategic advisory and capital structure advisory.

Analyst 1 / 2 – Corporate Advisory (Software & Technology)

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Software & Technology sector team within Corporate Advisory. The successful candidate will support the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions, prepare client materials, contribute to financial analysis, market research and sector coverage across the Software & Technology industry in Australia and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions
  • Prepare marketing pitchbooks, transaction materials, client presentations and other relevant materials
  • Gather and analyse public and private company information, industry data and market intelligence
  • Build and maintain financial modelling, undertake company valuations and perform detailed financial analysis
  • Draft transaction related materials, including Information Memorandums, Management Presentations and other process documents
  • Maintain internal databases covering M&A transactions, restructuring situations, debt and equity capital markets activity
  • Support ongoing sector coverage, including market updates, company monitoring and thematic research

Skills and Attributes:

  • Previous experience in investment banking, or Big 4 accounting firm in corporate finance, transaction services or valuations team
  • Demonstrate an interest in the software & technology sector
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts
  • Team-oriented, highly motivated and detail-focused, with a strong work ethic
