Join our Cloud Platform Delivery team as a Cloud Automation Software Engineer. In this role, you’ll be part of a global team responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining cutting-edge automated solutions for our evolving cloud database environment. What role will you play?

In this role, you will design and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and deliver self-service products enabling our customers to manage their cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Aurora). You’ll build monitoring systems to ensure performance, reliability, availability, observability, develop playbooks for incident response, and participate in an on-call roster. Leveraging your database expertise, you’ll create secure, scalable solutions while collaborating with teams, documenting processes, and driving continuous improvement.

What you offer

  • 6+ years of overall experience as an Automation Engineer; with 2+ years in Python Automation
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, Ansible and PowerShell
  • Experience in designing and implementing automation solutions for database workflows
  • Solid understanding of AWS cloud services, including RDS, Aurora, and Redshift
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Ideally have knowledge of database platforms like Sybase, SQL, and Oracle
  • Ability to trouble-shoot complex automation problems that require skills in reading/understanding code
  • Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Splunk.
