Join our Risk Management Group's Operational Risk team, where you will have the opportunity to lead and influence risk management practices across asset management activities in the Americas. What role will you play?

You will lead engagements with the first line Operational Risk team in the Americas, serving as the primary point of contact for Macquarie Asset Management stakeholders and key regulated entities. Your responsibilities include providing independent oversight and expert challenge of operational risk practices, leveraging your industry knowledge to present clear risk insights and actionable advice. You will review and challenge risk assessments, reporting, incidents, and remediation projects, while facilitating improved risk management through analysis of operational risk data. Additionally, you will deliver training, contribute to key projects implementing Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management Framework, and drive responses to regulatory, audit, and senior management requests.
Salary range for this position: $193,500 - $225,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. What you offer

  • Over 10 years’ experience in asset management, alternative assets, and principal investing, with roles in business, non-financial risk, or aligned support functions.
  • Practical expertise in implementing or overseeing non-financial risk frameworks within international financial institutions or financial services firms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge technical details and maintain a strategic view of operational risk issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with confidence to engage senior leaders and risk management colleagues on complex issues.
  • Tertiary degree in Finance or a related field; postgraduate degrees or professional qualifications (CA, CFA, CPA, FRM) are highly desirable.
