What role will you play?

In this Sydney based role you will be instrumental in driving Macquarie’s key strategic initiatives and navigating complex business issues spanning growth strategy, corporate development, business development, operating model, and special situations.
You will work closely with our senior leaders to drive strategic analysis and make recommendations on a range of interesting and impactful projects that make a tangible difference to our business, clients and broader communities.

What you offer

  • Tertiary qualifications from a top university, with strong academic results; (degree in finance/ commerce preferable)
  • 6 + years of professional experience, with at least 3+yrs in strategy consulting at a leading Management Consulting firm. Experience in Private Equity will also be considered
  • Experience in independently delivering expert qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Track record of managing multiple workstreams, and developing junior team members, to deliver successful client outcomes
  • Proven thought leadership and ability to apply structured problem solving, tailored to a deep understanding of the clients’ needs, to produce commercially sound and practical results
  • Demonstrable interest in cutting edge market developments, curiosity about the financial services sector, optimising firm value, and an entrepreneurial drive to identify and realise opportunities; experience in AI strategy and organisational agile ways of working is advantageous
  • Strong team player and collaborator, highly motivated, comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders (including C-Suite / Group Heads), and confident in adapting to change.
