Join Macquarie in this exciting opportunity as a client-facing Payroll Associate in our Manila office. You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless delivery of payroll and related services across our global portfolio of countries.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will contribute to the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of payroll across assigned countries. You will apply strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a solutions‑oriented mindset to ensure smooth payroll operations. This includes resolving employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally, maintaining adherence to local regulations and company policies, and supporting the development and improvement of standard operating procedures. You will also collaborate closely with HR partners, Finance, Reward, Global Mobility, and external vendors to sustain effective working relationships that enhance payroll service delivery.
You will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end payroll processing, proactively identifying risks or compliance issues, and contributing to action plans that address them. The role also involves driving process improvements by identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate payroll workflows, as well as supporting the implementation of system updates, enhancements, and new technologies. Through these contributions, you will help strengthen operational efficiency and elevate employee experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated continuous learning mindset, with interest in developing skills in process automation, data analysis, and payroll technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable outputs.
  • Solid analytical capability, with the ability to assess processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Proactive and collaborative work style, with the ability to take initiative and partner effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • 1–5 years of in‑house payroll experience in a fast‑paced environment; exposure to Asia, EMEA, and/or US payroll is an advantage.
