Join Macquarie Capital to build and lead our regional franchise as we expand our Infrastructure platform across Asia in response to a rapidly growing market opportunity with infrastructure investment accelerating, particularly across energy transition, utilities, and digital connectivity.

As Managing Director, you will play a critical role in shaping our presence across the region, driving client engagement, originating transactions, and delivering solutions across M&A, capital markets and principal investing.

What role will you play?

Lead and grow our Infrastructure business in Asia

  • Define and execute the strategy for Infrastructure across Asia, aligned with global priorities
  • Build a leading advisory franchise with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth
  • Establish a strong presence in key markets including India, South Korea and Southeast Asia

Drive origination and client relationships

  • Develop and lead senior relationships with infrastructure sponsors, utilities, corporates and financial investors
  • Originate and execute mandates across:
    • Mergers and acquisitions
    • Equity and debt capital markets
    • Strategic and structured transactions
  • Position Macquarie as a trusted advisor on complex, cross-border opportunities

Focus on core sector priorities

  • Lead coverage in Power and Utilities, including energy transition, renewables and grid infrastructure
  • Provide senior coverage in Digital Infrastructure, including data centres, fibre, and connectivity platforms
  • Support broader Infrastructure sectors including transport and related assets

Deliver outstanding execution

  • Provide senior leadership on complex transactions
  • Work closely with global sector and product teams to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Maintain high standards of execution, governance and risk management

Build and lead a high-performing team

  • Establish and mentor a lean, high-calibre team in Asia
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance culture
  • Leverage Macquarie’s global network to maximise impact without large local infrastructure.

What you offer

  • Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in infrastructure advisory, investment banking, or investing
  • Strong track record in originating and delivering transactions in Power and Utilities
  • Demonstrated experience or exposure to Digital Infrastructure at a senior level
  • Deep network of relationships across Asian markets
  • Proven ability to build and scale a business or franchise
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at C-suite level
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate in a dynamic, growth environment.
