Mirvac is an Australian property group with a clearly defined purpose to 'reimagine urban life'. For over 50 years, we've dedicated ourselves to shaping Australia's urban landscape. Our evolution has been significant, growing from a small joint venture to a thriving ASX-listed property group that leads the way in sustainability, innovation, safety and placemaking.

  • Waterfront workplace at Sydney’s premier retail marina
  • Casual hours that fit around your lifestyle or studies
  • Work with boats while gaining hands-on marina operations experience

Our opportunity

We’re looking for boating enthusiasts who are keen to bring their energy, reliability, and love of the water to our award-winning Birkenhead Point Marina.

As a Marina Attendant, you'll play a key role in keeping our marina running smoothly and safely, while delivering five-star service to our customers. You’ll support the day-to-day operations and help ensure the marina is always ready for action.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming and assisting customers - making every visit smooth and enjoyable
  • Carrying out daily marina inspections to ensure it’s in top operational condition
  • Helping identify and manage risks to ensure a safe environment
  • Proactively identify and report marina maintenance and repair requirements
  • Assist with maintenance tasks and work on the marina’s vessel
  • Perform kiosk duties e.g. allocating marina berths, managing kayak storage queries, stocktake inventory
  • Assist customers with vessel refuelling
  • Stepping in as Dock Master when needed
  • Act as Marina Manager on evenings/weekends/public holidays as required

Your point of difference

This role would suit a student who's passionate about working as a Marina Attendant and looking for some casual but regular work.

To be successful you will have:

  • New South Wales Boating License (required)
  • Previous boating or marina experience (highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience working with vessels, with an understanding of AMSA/RMS and Work Cover obligations
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Underground Petroleum Storage System (UPSS), Marina Operation Plan and Environmental Manual, and Dangerous Goods and EPA requirements
  • Good IT proficiency
  • Ability to work on weekends and public holidays as required
  • Proactive and self-motivated mindset, with the ability to solve issues as they arise and to improve system and process efficiencies and effectiveness.

If you're passionate about boating and want a casual role with a leading property group that values sustainability, innovation, and people - we’d love to hear from you.
