Our opportunity
As an Architect you will assist the Project Architect in the design and documentation of specific projects and manage specific tasks in conjunction with, or as delegated by the Project Architect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist the Project Architect in ensuring that designs comply with all regulatory requirements, including MCC, BCA and Mirvac fit-for-purpose standards.
- Apply project specific quality management systems (including sustainability standards) to all documentation prior to issue.
- Working with the manager to maintain guidelines and processes in the provision of certification of essential services.
- Advise Project Architect of any issues affecting completion of assigned tasks.
- Support the Senior/Project Architect/Coordinator in working with other Mirvac departments to achieve objectives.
- Establish and monitor task specific programs as directed by Project Architect.
- Coordinate the work of required Consultants and Designers in conjunction with the Project Architect.
- Coordinate documentation for consultants and sub-contractors.
- Use project specific electronic filing procedures throughout the course of the project.
- Assist in the proper archiving of all relevant project data on completion.
- Providing assistance and recommendations in respect of required capital works in the short, medium and long term.
- Liaise with Project Architect on resource requirements.
Your point of difference
We’re looking for an Architect or Graduate of Architecture with 2–3 years’ experience working on high-rise residential or commercial projects. Ideally, you’ve been involved across the full project life cycle from DA through to construction.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Experience using design software. A high level of proficiency with REVIT is required
- Knowledge of CAD/BIM standards
- Knowledge of regulations
- Financial acumen in working with budgets
- Documentation and archiving management
- Appropriate tertiary Qualifications
- Good communication and written skills
- Good computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
