We’re now seeking a Manager, Financial Control – Commercial & Mixed‑Use (C&MU) Development on a 12-month contract, to join our high‑performing Finance team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Financial Controller, Development, this role is responsible for the financial accounting deliverables across Mirvac’s Commercial & Mixed‑Use Development portfolio, with a focus on the BTR and Industrial developments.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will partner closely with your team, internal stakeholders, and Group functions to ensure accurate, compliant and high‑quality financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Maintain accurate General Ledgers across C&MU Development and joint venture entities
- Manage BTR and Industrial joint venture entities, including financial reporting, trust administration, revenue recognition and cost recoveries
- Lead and execute the month‑end close, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery of journals, reconciliations and eliminations
- Assist FC to prepare and review accounting journals and workpapers for transactions
- Review BAS calculations and act as the primary contact for GST‑related matters with Group Tax
- Prepare half‑year and full‑year Group Reporting Packs, including the statutory inventory note and
accounting schedules - Coordinate interim and year‑end audits, reviewing audit workpapers and responses
- Coach and develop the Financial Accountant and oversee the offshore team to ensure consistent delivery and capability uplift
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and controls within the C&MU Financial Control function
- Actively contribute to a collaborative, values‑led team culture.
About You
You are a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional, with a natural curiosity and passion for quality outcomes.
You'll bring:
- CA or CPA qualification
- 5–7+ years’ accounting experience, ideally within ASX‑listed property, construction, infrastructure or engineering environments
- Strong technical accounting capability, with the ability to apply standards and tax legislation in a practical business context
- Exposure to joint ventures or capital partners (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with large ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with finance and non‑finance stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership capability and a commitment to developing others
