Our Opportunity

We have a new opportunity for a Legal Counsel – Funds Management to provide strategic, practical and commercially focused legal advice across our Funds Management platform. Reporting to the General Counsel – Funds Management, this role supports the full lifecycle of funds, capital transactions and managed investments, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice across Mirvac’s Funds Management business, including advising on fund related transactions, fund establishments, mandates and acquisitions and disposals
  • Draft, review and negotiate complex legal documents relating to funds / real estate transactions, fund structures and investments
  • Negotiate and manage documentation where Mirvac acts as investment manager or other service provider
  • Identify, manage and communicate legal risk across the Funds Management business
  • Resolve minor disputes and escalate complex litigation matters appropriately
  • Contribute to legal precedents, procedures, training and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support AML/CTF, merger clearance and broader regulatory compliance requirements
  • Assist with management of external legal advisers to ensure consistency and value for money

Your point of difference

You will bring solid post‑qualification experience, ideally gained within a top tier law firm or in-house at a real estate/property or investment management business. You will have experience in advising on funds related or complex corporate transactions and a strong foundation in delivering practical, commercial legal advice in a fast‑paced environment.

You combine strong technical capability with a pragmatic, commercial mindset, and are comfortable working autonomously while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision‑making.

A confident and clear communicator, you can translate complex legal issues into concise, business‑focused advice that enables informed outcomes and manages risk effectively.

You demonstrate high levels of integrity, sound judgment and professionalism, alongside a proactive approach and a genuine interest in real estate funds and the property sector.
