Our opportunity

The role of Manager, Procurement Excellence is to lead the enhancement and efficiency of procurement processes within the organisation. The primary focus is on analysing, streamlining and improving procurement/ sourcing operations to deliver cost savings, optimise supplier relationships and drive demonstrated business value.

This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, particularly in Digital, Development, and Asset Management, to ensure alignment with broader organisational objectives. By implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives, the Manager, Procurement Excellence aims to achieve significant cost efficiencies, improve procurement delivery quality, and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Benefits Validation: Ensuring procurement benefits are robust and aligned with a robust benefits methodology, transparently reported to showcase direct and indirect cost savings.
  • Process Optimisation: Identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline procurement processes, improving efficiency and reducing complexity, leading to optimised business outcomes and direct and indirect cost reduction. This will include embedding within business processes where appropriate.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Providing comprehensive reporting and analysis, collaborating with Finance and Business Intelligence to produce regular reporting packs with a strong focus on cost-saving metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leading initiatives focused on innovation and cost savings, which aligns with the organisational focus on an optimised financial position from the delivery of premium assets and customer experiences. This should specifically embrace the consideration of AI enablement and adoption of a LEAN mindset.
  • Vendor/ Business Partner Management: Engaging with vendors/ business partners to ensure high-quality service delivery while negotiating better terms and optimising margins.
  • Source to Contract Management: Enhancing the S2C to ensure efficient process management, to drive value and optimised business outcomes.
  • Project Management: Leading the delivery of key projects (typically driven by the procurement technology roadmap), with a focus on implementation that drives achievement of the business case.
  • Platform Development: Developing and maintaining the enterprise procurement platform to ensure effective procurement processes that drive business outcomes and value.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering with teams like Digital and Finance to align procurement and P2P initiatives with process effectiveness and efficiency and broader business objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Mitigating supply chain relate risks and ensuring procurement activities remain legally compliant and support Mirvac’s reputation as a creator and curator of premium assets and a leader in ESG.
  • Training and Support: Providing guidance/ training to drive compliant and value adding system adoption and ensuring that tools, policies and processes implemented are appropriately utilised to drive desired outcomes.
  • Policy and Template Development: Standardising policies and other templates (eg single source, contracts, S2C steps) to drive efficiency, appropriate consistency and desired outcomes are delivered.
Your point of difference
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, operational excellence, or a similar role, with a strong track record delivering large‑scale projects and process improvements.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and embed policies, processes, and governance frameworks that drive compliance and best practice.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting capability, including dashboards and executive‑level insights, in partnership with Finance and BI/AI teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand business models, margin drivers, and apply insights to practical initiatives.
  • Excellent project, change, and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading cross‑functional teams to successful outcomes.
  • Highly developed analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to translate data into action.
  • LEAN or continuous improvement experience highly regarded.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills across all levels of the business.
  • A proactive, innovative mindset with an eye on emerging trends, including AI.
  • High integrity and a commitment to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
