Our opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Internal Audit to join our Sydney team. In this role you will provide management and the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee with independent, objective and high-quality assurance and advisory services designed to assess and improve Mirvac’s internal control environment.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Perform planned internal audits across Group operations
- Perform ad-hoc investigations, control reviews, and advisory reviews
- Lead audit planning, including defining objectives, scope, and approach
- Deliver high-quality internal audit engagements on time and within budget
- Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls over key business risks
- Identify root causes and provide pragmatic recommendations
- Work across multiple audit engagements simultaneously
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management
- Manage and collaborate with third-party providers (where relevant)
- Develop and present high-quality reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Your point of difference
You will have a strong background in risk management and internal controls with 6 - 8 years internal audit experience comprised of at least 3 years relevant commercial experience. Big four training highly regarded.
In-depth experience in property development and/or construction or other complex industry highly regarded, coupled with knowledge of project management, operational/lean process, technology risk highly regarded.
You bring a strong ability to identify and assess risks and controls across financial and complex operational processes, combined with sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. You can quickly grasp complex concepts and communicate them clearly and concisely, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A confident and collaborative professional, you build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders effectively, even in challenging situations. You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, and bring a proactive, self-motivated approach. You thrive in dynamic team environments and uphold high standards of integrity and professionalism.
