Are you an experienced software test engineer with a passion for new technology? Would you like to contribute to the testing and validation of our innovative wireless products, while leveraging your Wi-Fi testing expertise? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Wireless Test Engineer to join our Bangalore team.

As a Senior Wireless Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software running on our chip. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute test plans, identify issues, and drive improvements in our wirless connectivity solutions.

At Morse Micro you’ll be working with experienced professionals and engineers, some of whom are the team that invented the original Wi-Fi technology that is ubiquitous today.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Bluetooth and BLE functionality, including device pairing, data exchange, service discovery, and security features.
  • Conduct RF testing to evaluate Bluetooth and BLE performance, including range, signal strength, and interference handling.
  • Perform interoperability testing with different Bluetooth devices and profiles to ensure seamless connectivity and compatibility.
  • Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to identify and troubleshoot issues related to wireless connectivity, providing detailed bug reports and recommendations for resolution.
  • Utilize test equipment and tools to measure and analyze Bluetooth and BLE characteristics, such as packet sniffers, spectrum analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Leverage your Wi-Fi testing experience to contribute to the testing and validation of Wi-Fi functionalities in our products, including connectivity, data transfer, and security.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards related to Bluetooth, BLE, and Wi-Fi technologies, incorporating best practices into the testing processes.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years proven experience in Wi-Fi/BT/BLE software testing, including test plan development, test case creation, test automation and execution.
  • Hands-on experience with new wireless chipset evaluation and characterization.
  • Proficient in development of test automation frameworks using Python and other tools for efficient and repeatable testing.
  • Solid understanding of wireless protocols including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and BLE protocols, profiles, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with RF testing tools and equipment, such as packet sniffers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, isolate, and reproduce issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear bug reports and test documentation.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
