Are you experienced in building strong, active online communities? Do you have a passion for emerging technologies and IoT? Then join Australia’s fastest growing semiconductor startup. You’ll work with the team that invented Wi-Fi 20 years ago, and help them shape the future of Wi-Fi for IoT.

In this role you will play a key role in building and managing Morse Micro’s online presence. You will be responsible for building, monitoring, and moderating discussion platforms and curating public content. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fostering vibrant online communities, and will preferably have a technical background in wireless networks.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Build, manage, and monitor a scalable online discussion forum to support Morse Micro’s open source community.
  • Engage with community members, answering complex technical questions and encouraging active participation.
  • Coordinate with the communications team on website content and community support strategies.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation, and other collateral, for Morse Micro evaluation kits and open source software.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Understand Wi-Fi networking and theory of operation.
  • Prior experience designing hardware and software for embedded platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of open-source licensing models and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency using C, C++, POSIX shell, and Python.
  • Understanding of hardware interfacing buses, like SDIO, SPI and I2C
  • Experience curating online content such as videos, documentation, and FAQ.
