About the business unit
Mott MacDonald’s support services are the driving force behind our organisation enabling us to run efficiently and effectively. The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.


Overview of the role
This role requires someone with good organisational skills to manage a range of tasks that support the rapidly growing Spanish team. Supporting our HR area of the business, this role offers the opportunity for you to demonstrate fresh ideas, to either develop or take the first step in your career, gain knowledge and to take ownership of this newly created role. Whilst it is Madrid based, it has a national reach.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the processes within Mott MacDonald in Spain and the UK
  • Support the HR team with the lifecycle administration of an employee, including starters, leavers, contractual changes, references, maternity leave, paternity leave etc
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on our policies and processes, e.g., maternity leave, paternity leave, unpaid leave etc
  • Work closely with our payroll provider and undertake payroll checking on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of data
  • Process accurate information within multiple HR systems
  • Reporting - to complete actions required for monthly/ ad-hoc reports such as audit reports, payroll reports and starters/ leavers
  • Comply with Data Protection and General Data Protections Regulations (GDPR) and ensure the security of employee. information in accordance with legislation and best practice
  • Other ad hoc requests and projects

At Mott MacDonald we foster a supportive and collaborate culture. The HR Administrator role will encompass the above responsibilities supporting our HR team based in Spain and the UK, as well as working closely with our finance and office management team in Spain.

Candidate specification
Essential:

  • Strong administration background
  • Good organisational and time keeping skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of Microsoft packages: teams, excel, word etc
  • Good communication skills both Spanish and English, written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with the team in Mott MacDonald Spain and colleagues in the UK
