Your Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary and collaborative Transport Market Leader to shape the future of transport infrastructure in Victoria. This is more than a leadership role, it is an opportunity to inspire change, empower teams, and deliver projects that improve lives and communities. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia.

You will provide leadership and guidance to the Transport Team to ensure the effective delivery of transport related services across rail, roads & highways, systems engineering, tunnels and geotech, and transport planning projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading your team with enthusiasm, passion and vision, embodying our PRIDE values (Progress, Respect, Integrity, Drive and Excellence) to achieve business goals aligned with the Australian unit strategy
  • Enhancing your team’s capabilities with effective succession planning, focusing on skills, development, utilisation, reward, recognition and performance
  • Championing a culture that values and respects the wellbeing, safety and health of every individual
  • Leading the delivery of profitable, quality-controlled projects that meet client expectations
  • Driving commercial success and timely project delivery, leading and delivering on significant projects
  • Championing compliance with our systems, procedures and mandatory training
  • Building and nurturing impactful client relationships, and mentoring your team to do the same, collaborating with Client Directors and national Market Leaders
  • Leading the coordination of pursuits, winning work and enhancing market presence whilst advocating for all our capabilities across engineering, management and development
  • Making informed bid/no-bid decisions and drive the commercial strategy, including utilising our Global Delivery Services team

About You

  • We are looking for a leader with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, who has a passion for mentoring, empowering others, and fostering team growth; motivating people to be curious; leading through uncertainty and doubt; creating new value propositions; and casting a compelling vision of the future which motivates and retains great people.
  • Extensive experience in the Australian transport infrastructure sector, especially in the Victoria market such as Department of Transport and Planning (VIC), and associated entities or authorities
  • Senior relationships across client, industry partner, and contractor organisations, with a well-established market reputation, influence, and network
  • A proven track record in positioning, winning, and delivering major infrastructure projects across Roads & Highways, Rail & Metros, or associated transport sub-markets
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, transport planning, or a related field
  • Strong expertise in project management and business development, with a strategic mindset and commercial acumen; demonstrated commercial agility and ability to identify and mitigate risk
  • Passionate to continuously build capability and innovation across multiple disciplines such as Rail, Highways, Transport Planning, Tunnels, and others in Transport
