As a Senior Roadway Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our existing talented engineers on some of the largest projects locally and across the country. Often working alongside a multi-disciplined team, your projects will primarily be focused in North Carolina for some of the area’s biggest clients varying in size and complexity.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing highway/roadway and work both as part of a design team and independently.
- Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Preparing design plans, specifications, and quantities.
- Reviewing and preparing calculations for project elements related to highway design.
- Reviewing and preparing preconstruction cost estimates for projects.
- Working with the team to prepare proposals.
- Attending meetings with clients with other members of the project team.
- Preparing of design plans, specifications, and quantities.
We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar
- North Carolina PE
- Approximately 10 - 15 years of experience in highway design and local streets
- Familiarity with North Carolina Department of Transportation engineering practices, standards and documentation
- Experience with Microstation, Geopak, Bentley ORD, and Microsoft Office software
- Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate the work on various project design tasks
- Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies
