Job Description:

Job Purpose:

Health Safety and Environment Inspector will be monitoring, implementing, and reporting on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements to ensure all construction activities are executed in full compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

He/ she will be site based and shall cover the following activities across multiple work areas on site:

  • Monitor the safety performance of contractors on site;
  • Monitor compliance with occupational health standards and use of personal protection equipment;
  • Participate in internal safety reviews and site inspections;
  • Take part in incident investigation;
  • Check observance of the permit to work systems;
  • Carry out or procure specialist HSE training;
  • Assist H&S Specialist to implement H&S standards on site;
  • Prepare Site Safety reports.

Candidate Specification:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering/ Health/ Environmental from a recognized institute to the approval of the Engineer.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in the construction of reinforced concrete (RC) structures.
  • Preferable experience on large water, sewage treatment plant (STP), and/or drainage projects.
  • Experience working in site‑based HSE or construction supervision roles.
