Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly GST compliance, including preparation and filing of returns such as GSTR-3B, GSTR-1, and GSTR-6.
  • Review and reconcile electronic GST ledgers with the company’s books of accounts.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of sales and purchase registers.
  • Conduct monthly Input Tax Credit (ITC) matching on the IMS portal and coordinate with vendors for discrepancies.
  • Support the preparation and filing of annual GST returns and GST audits.
  • Assist during GST departmental audits and handle responses to notices from tax authorities.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of GST refund applications.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of all indirect tax-related GL accounts.
  • Provide support during statutory and internal audits.
  • Identify and implement improvements in tax compliance processes.
  • Ensure timely implementation of changes in GST laws and regulations introduced by authorities.
  • Guide and support finance team members and stakeholders on GST-related processes and procedures.

Essential Candidate Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: M. Com, MBA (Full-time), or Semi-qualified CA from a reputed institute.
  • Relevant experience in indirect taxation (GST) within a reputed organization; exposure to the service industry or Big Four firms will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate and timely reports while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and evolving environment with flexibility.
