The opportunity

The Director, US Federal Sales is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the company's growth. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the role will oversee strategic initiatives, sales performance, operational excellence, and in time, team leadership while ensuring professionalism and integrity in all endeavours.

Stuff we trust you will do:

  • Develop and implement a robust strategic plan for the Federal business in alignment with the company's global objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities and threats to inform the regional strategy.
  • Understand in-depth product offerings to ensure alignment between product capabilities and market needs.
  • Define, build and lead the Federal sales team.
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Self-generate and incubate quality leads in addition to partnering with the marketing team to qualify opportunities
  • Monitor and optimise the sales pipeline for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that sales forecasts are accurate and realistic.
  • Lead critical negotiations ensuring beneficial terms for the company.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Ensure effective, and timely communication within the team and with external partners.
  • Develop and manage the regional budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.

  • Proven experience within or serving the Federal government.
  • Strong understanding of the Federal market landscape, in particular Defence.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve results.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of satellite technology and the market place is advantageous
  • Strive for continuous improvement
  • Adaptable in responding to challenging situations and changes within the business environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the role and the broader organisation, leading by example.
