We are looking for an ambitious Business Development professional, based in Malaysia, to play a key role in unlocking exciting global revenue potential.

About the Role:

As a Business Development Manager you'll play a pivotal role in expanding Myriota's presence in South East Asia. Reporting to the Director of APAC Sales, you will proactively generate and nurture leads, build strong customer relationships, and drive the sales pipeline.

What You'll Do:

  • Expand Customer Base & Drive Revenue: Through effective email outreach, phone prospecting, and relationship building to generate leads across global markets.
  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Proactively identify and qualify potential leads to maintain a steady flow of opportunities.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support Sales Strategies: Collaborate with the Sales Director and team to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with prospects through various channels, understand their needs, and position Myriota’s products as solutions.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Assist in managing and tracking the sales pipeline in the CRM system, ensuring all activities are recorded.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work with sales and marketing teams to align efforts on target accounts, lead generation, and market penetration. Report regularly on pipeline status.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of Myriota’s products to effectively communicate benefits and features to potential clients.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Industry Expertise: Over 5 years of experience in IoT, Satellite Communications, or Telecommunications sectors
  • Sales Performance: Proven success in sales and business development across Southeast Asia
  • Sales Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of the sales cycle, CRM systems, and pipeline management
  • Results-Driven: Highly goal-oriented with a consistent focus on exceeding targets and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Exceptional Communicator: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for engaging clients and cross-functional teams
  • Resilient, Adaptable & Proactive: Maintains focus and composure through ambiguity and change, while thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a forward-thinking mindset
  • Independent & Collaborative: Capable of working autonomously while being a strong contributor to team efforts
  • Analytical Mindset: Skilled in identifying growth opportunities, solving problems, and driving strategic improvements
  • Mobility: Willing and able to travel across Southeast Asia as required
