The Senior Consultant, Equities is responsible for producing high‑quality investment research on companies within a designated Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) sector, aligned with the NAB Private Wealth CIO Office investment strategy. This critical role supports Portfolio Managers and Advisers by delivering timely verbal and written insights.

- Utilise your extensive experience in Information Technology equity research and analysis to identify and monitor attractive investments.
- Provide verbal and written research on companies to support the NAB Private Wealth CIO Office portfolio managers and JBWere advice business
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the equity research offering across the Private Wealth business

About The Role
The Senior Consultant, Equities is responsible for producing high‑quality investment research on companies within a designated Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) sector, aligned with the NAB Private Wealth CIO Office investment strategy. This critical role supports Portfolio Managers and Advisers by delivering timely verbal and written insights.
Each Day, You’ll Go Above And Beyond To
- Produce in‑depth company research and valuation modelling within the assigned global GICS sector, assessing suitability for inclusion in international equity, domestic equity, and multi-asset portfolios
- Conduct detailed analysis of developments in the technology sector
- Provide timely verbal and written views to support the advice business including interaction with clients and external parties
- Contribute to monthly stock commentary and periodic strategy notes
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the equities research process
You’ll Need
- A degree in commerce, economics, business, finance, or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in equity research and analysis within the relevant global GICS sector
- A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA, CFA, or SIA will be highly regarded
- Strong analytical skills, including equity research techniques and performance evaluation relevant to the asset class and GICS sector
- Proven experience influencing and managing relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across multiple business areas
- Strong capability in supporting and contributing to high‑quality technical advice
- Suitable for candidates with buy side, sell side research or investment banking experience
