In the role of Senior Consultant, Data Engineer, you will be part of our Data Platforms team, doubling down on owning outcomes end-to-end.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and continuously improve software

• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions

• Write well-designed, high-quality, testable code

• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility

• Integrate software components into fully functional platforms

• Proactively perform hands-on design and implementation of best practice CI/CD

• Coach and mentor other service team members

• Develop and contribute to software verification plans and quality assurance procedures

• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems, including participation in DR tests

• Deploy programs and evaluate customer feedback

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

• Extensive technical experience (financial services industry experience preferred)

• Proven technical domain expertise (technology and tooling)

• Solid experience in data engineering, BI and software development, including ELT/ETL, data extraction and manipulation in Data Lake, Data Warehouse or Lakehouse environments

• Hands on programming experience using Databricks, SQL in complex enterprise environments

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Jenkins and Git

• Hands on experience designing, configuring and developing cloud based solutions

• Experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, EMR, SNS, SQS, Lambda and Redshift

• Handson experience building data pipelines on the Databricks Delta Lake platform from a range of data sources (databases, flat files, streaming, etc.)

• Knowledge of data modelling techniques for data warehouse and data mart applications

• Quality engineering experience, including CI/CD (Jenkins, Docker)

• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker

• Experience using source control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket

• Exposure to relational databases including Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, PostgreSQL or MySQL

• Strong skills in querying structured and unstructured data sources
