Purpose-

  • The Service Reliability Engineer will be focused on driving better production systems by defining engineering approaches that deliver better operational best practice.
  • As SRE’s are responsible for the big picture of how systems related to each other, they will use breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad spectrum of problems. Practices such as minimising time spend on operations work, blameless post-mortems and proactive identification of potential customer impacts delivering iterative improvement that is key to both service quality and interesting and dynamic day to day work.

Experience-

  • 8+ years minimum of experience in IT
  • Application development experience in large distributed systems, systems engineering & monitoring, System Application recovery & restoration, application trouble shooting and diagnostic frameworks.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of packaged software solution & Dev Ops.
  • Integration and Continuous delivery
  • Cloud experience
  • Software Development lifecycles (Waterfall & Agile) .

Qualification Requirements-

  • Tertiary qualification in computer science, information technology, process management, risk management or operations management.
  • ITIL certification is required

Key Accountabilities-

  • Proactively improve service availability, performance & efficiencies via delivery of metrics, monitoring & incident response processes.
  • Be aware of and respond to (reactively & proactively), production degradation of Service Level objectives
  • Drive the implementation of highly-available and scalable architectures for core and third party components of the Service.
  • Champion the importance of Operational Excellence to facilitate improved NPS with customers (internal & external and address specific operations needs and concerns.
