Working within NAB’s Command Centre, you’ll play a critical role in protecting NAB’s customers and services by proactively monitoring, identifying and responding to payments- and fraud-related system incidents and events. Operating in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment, you’ll be at the frontline of payments stability and fraud prevention & detection operations—ensuring issues are identified early and resolved efficiently to maintain system resilience, availability and customer trust.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Proactively monitor payments flow and operational dashboards for alerts, exceptions, and anomalies
- Actively monitor fraud prevention and operational dashboards to detect alerts, exceptions, and emerging anomalies
- Respond to and manage payments and fraud-related incidents and events, following documented runbooks and procedures
- Resolve incidents at first level where possible, escalating complex or non‑standard issues to the appropriate technology or business teams
- Support coordinated recovery efforts, including participation in technical bridges, service restorations and major incident processes
- Assist with payments and fraud system changes and maintenance activities, including incident‑related and operational tasks
- Document incidents thoroughly, ensuring accurate records, root cause inputs and participation in structured handovers across shifts
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate and streamline payments and fraud monitoring tools, controls and processes

• Experience working in a large‑scale, complex payments and/or fraud technology or operations environment
• Proven experience in an operational, monitoring, payments processing, or incident response role
• Preferred: exposure to payments operations, fraud operations, fraud risk, or fraud‑related data, platforms, and systems
• Strong understanding of technology platforms, payments flow, fraud controls, and end‑to‑end operational processes
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm, prioritise effectively, and make sound decisions in high‑pressure or time‑critical situations
