We are hiring: Head of AI & Agentic Architecture

AI is rapidly moving from experimentation to scaled adoption, and we’re looking for a leader to help define what that looks like at scale.

As Head of AI & Agentic Architecture, you will lead the architecture, platform strategy, and operating model forAI, GenAI, and agentic systemsacross the bank. This is a rare opportunity to shape the standards, shared services, and engineering foundations required to industrialise AI in a secure, scalable, and measurable way within a highly regulated environment.

You’ll work across business, technology, data, engineering, and risk to bring the next generation of AI capability to life, balancing innovation with governance, safety, performance, and responsible adoption.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the enterprise roadmap forAI, GenAI, and agentic systems.
  • Define scalable patterns forLLMOps, agent harnesses, evaluation, observability, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Own the engineering direction for shared AI platform capabilities, includingAPIs, SDKs, reusable services, reference implementations, and internal platform products.
  • Oversee the design, build, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise AI systems and platform services
  • ChampionEval-Driven Development, using evaluations as a practical working specification for GenAI and agentic systems in production.
  • Create pathways for the organisation to gainexposure to cutting-edge AI capabilitiesand turn emerging innovation into practical enterprise value.

What You’ll Bring

  • Senior leadership experience acrossarchitecture, engineering, and platform ownership.
  • Strong experience working with highly distributed systems inbanking, payments, or cloud-native software.
  • Deep cloud and platform expertise acrossAWS, Databricks, and/or Google Cloud, with experience designing AI workloads at scale.
  • Experience with leading model ecosystems includingAnthropic, OpenAI, and Google.
  • Proven experience withLLMOps, open-source agent frameworks, and designing, building, and evolving agent harnesses and multi-agent systems at production scale.
  • Strong understanding ofdistributed systems, data platforms, scalable AI infrastructure, and secure-by-design architecture.
