- Lead the Finance Partnering team supporting Business Lending (BL) within Business and Private Banking.
- Be a valued partner to the business and provide expertise that influences key business decisions.
As a Head of, you will join the Business and Private Banking Finance team that’s focused on moving with speed.
In This Head Of Role, You Will
- Translate the strategy of the Business Lending business into a functionally effective plan. Provide the overall direction to the BL leadership team to ensure development and delivery of objectives and initiatives within the strategic parameters.
- Support the BL Executives in partnership with the CFO, to grow the business, align with our strategic ambition and ensure transformation / simplification benefits are achieved in a sustainable and coordinated manner.
- Identify financial and non-financial performance trends through critical review and analysis and develop and recommend strategies to improve business performance.
- Collaborate to ensure simplification by ensuring all standard reporting and financial control activities are delivered in a one-way same way approach across Finance.
- Collaborate with peers to identify and leverage best practice to drive effectiveness uplift across the Finance partner team.
- Lead, coach and develop a diverse team, creating and fostering a feedback culture and a psychologically safe environment, track results, and provide clear follow-up and feedback.
- Demonstrated customer ‘obsession’.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, likely developed at a strategy consulting firm, in-house strategy team or investment bank (and/or similar related experience).
- Ability to engage, collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written communication demonstrated by experience in drafting and contributing to board level presentation and reports.
- Proficiency in developing financial models and strategic frameworks.
- Experience across a range of Finance disciplines including partnering with divisions, corporate centre planning and reporting and financial control roles.
- Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally CA/CPA qualified.
