You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure they receive timely legal support so as to deliver the right outcomes for NAB and our customers.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

• Provide timely legal advice including in relation to financial difficulty, collections and recoveries activities and bereavement services.
• Support initiatives that are customer-centric and aimed to simplify and improve processes, while meeting legal and regulatory requirements
• Proactively keep abreast of changes to legislation, regulatory guidance and policy, so as to support colleagues to understand and respond to such changes.
• Balance legal requirements with simplicity and automation.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. The preferred applicant will:

• Be admitted to legal practice in Australia
• Have a minimum of 4 years PQE with experience in banking and financial services law, recoveries and dispute resolution, gained in a law firm or in-house legal team
• Be able to provide clear and concise independent legal advice, often in short time frames
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
• Be organised, proactive, flexible and able to prioritise competing demands
