In the role of Senior Marketing Consultant, Planning and Operations you will join the Personal Banking Marketing Team, that’s doubling down on keeping it simple and owning it.
This role sits at the heart of Personal Banking Marketing, partnering closely with the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) and senior stakeholders to drive clarity, alignment and execution discipline across priorities, plans and investment. You will help ensure marketing operates with pace, confidence and impact, translating strategic ambition into practical operations rhythms, governance and delivery.
This is a high impact role for someone who thrives in complexity, brings structure where ambiguity exists, and is motivated by helping senior leaders move faster and more effectively.
Each Day, you’ll go above And Beyond to
- End-to-end ownership of the annual and quarterly investment planning cycle for PB Marketing.
- Partner closely with Finance to strengthen visibility of ongoing investment commitments and forecasts.
- Support the strategic alignment of marketing plans to business objectives, Personal Bank and Marketing OKRs.
- Frame opportunities, options and trade-offs clearly to support confident decision making and prioritisation.
- Ensure alignment between strategy, plans, budgets and delivery across portfolios.
- Cross-squad and cross-portfolio prioritisation, including dependency and capacity analysis leveraging Mar Tech/AI.
- Development of insight-led recommendations to resolve delivery, investment or performance issues.
- Quarterly performance and outlook reviews for PB Marketing, including executive-ready narratives.
- Scenario modelling and option analysis to support decision-making.
- Leadership of ad hoc strategic initiatives (e.g. operating model uplift, reporting transformation, governance improvements).
- Risk and Compliance uplift and management sits squarely in this role where you will work in conjunction with Personal Bank Marketing’s Divisional Controls Partner to maintain and improve processes, controls and related reporting requirements.
- Ongoing engagement with Personal Bank Planning and Change teams to ensure alignment and execution discipline.

- Deep understanding of marketing operations, with demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budget management or operations experience.
- To be numerate and detailed oriented
- Skilled in mapping, analysing, and improving business processes.
- Ability to see the big picture, connect dots across functions, and design scalable solutions.
- Strong communicator, with experience driving change and gaining buy-in at all levels through storytelling.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, with structured delivery approaches and outcome focus.
- Able to confidently articulate customer and commercial impact.
- Exceptional problem solving and presentation skills, able to bring clarity to complex or ambiguous situations.
- Ability to use tools and technology to simplify and augment ways of working and reporting delivery.
