As a Head of, you will join the Personal Banking Finance team that’s focused on winning together. This is a key leadership role, accountable for influencing, driving performance efficiency and supporting the Unsecured Lending business to deliver portfolio and performance outcomes.
In this Head of role, you will:
- Support the Unsecured Lending Executives to grow the business, align with our strategic ambition and ensure transformation / simplification are achieved in a sustainable and co-ordinated manner.
- Translate the strategy of the business into functionally effective plans. Provide overall direction to leadership teams to ensure development and delivery of objectives / initiatives within the strategic parameters.
- Constructively challenging managements proposals and decisions, providing advice to Leadership teams on critical decisions and trade-offs.
- Support the delivery of business strategies, through business case reviews and approvals, driving the business to meet benefits profiles.
- Deliver high quality commercial insights and advice to drive performance improvement. Identify financial and non-financial performance trends through critical review and analysis and develop and recommend strategies to improve business performance.
- Motivate and inspire the team, uplifts its capability and deliver a high-quality, high-performance team.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated customer ‘obsession’.
- Extensive knowledge of financial services and banking, including Unsecured Lending and Credit Cards.
- Ability to engage, collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written communication demonstrated by experience in drafting and contributing to board level presentation and reports.
- Proficiency in developing financial models and strategic frameworks.
- Experience across a range of Finance disciplines including partnering with divisions, corporate centre planning and reporting and financial control roles.
- Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally CA/CPA qualified.
