As a Strategic Portfolio Manager, you will connect strategy to execution—driving clarity, alignment and value realisation across a complex technology portfolio. This is not a purely governance or reporting role — it is a hands-on, analytically-driven position at the centre of enterprise technology transformation.
As a Strategic Portfolio Manager, you will work directly with data, programs and stakeholders to analyse, shape and optimise the technology transformation portfolio. You will translate strategy into practical roadmaps, interrogate performance and investment data, and actively drive better outcomes through insight and action.
You’ll sit within the Technology Strategy & Transformation team, connecting enterprise strategy to execution and ensuring the transformation portfolio delivers measurable value.

In the role of Strategic Portfolio Manager, you will join the Technology Strategy and Transformation team that’s doubling down on customer obsession.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Work with varied SMEs including Architecture Execs, CIOs, DCO, Risk and Audit to develop and maintain the Technology Division roadmap of transformation programs. Understand and document scope, strategic alignment, value/ benefits, interdependencies and risks.
- Draft regular reporting to advise senior executives on the Strategic portfolio roadmap, progress, plans, risks.
- Contribute to the establishment and embedment of best-practice Strategic portfolio management foundations within the Technology division.
- Facilitate transformation program planning, including but not limited to breaking down large units of work, sequencing and assessing/ validating resourcing rand investment requirements.
- Analyse and derive data-driven insights from governance and performance metrics, driving continued check and challenge across the Technology portfolio roadmap.
- Monitor and assess cross-domain interdependencies for cross-domain execution, highlighting impacts/ implications of deviations, and opportunities to mitigate/ exploit
