In the role of Senior Analyst, Financial Crime Investigations, you will join Tim Penman and the team that’s doubling down on mitigating financial crime risks while protecting vulnerable populations and customers.

Each Day, You’ll Go Above And Beyond To

  • Lead and investigate large mule network investigations (100-1,000 parties involved).
  • Review and investigate escalations for typologies including human impact, drug trafficking, national security, organised crime and syndicated criminal operations.
  • Develop an investigation plan with accurate estimation of resource and time required.
  • Compile investigation data and grounds for suspicion, and complete suspicious matter report (SMR) submissions.
  • Identify and report operational risks, control gaps, or process improvement opportunities.
  • Engage with Senior Management and/or other internal/external stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Compile or contribute to investigation outcomes and risk and control reports, indicators papers and guidance notes.
  • Present investigation findings to FCI, wider Group Investigations or Financial Crime Risk Mitigation/Financial Crime Operations, and law enforcement as required.
  • Provide guidance/support to junior analysts.

  • Previous experience in financial crime or related field and/or Transaction monitoring space.
  • Current SMR submission experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated complex investigation capability is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial crime landscape - legislation, typologies, crime types and emerging trends.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adhere to time critical investigation deadlines.
  • Demonstrated planning, time management and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
