In the role of Associate Director, Risk Management – Home Lending, you will join the Ubank team as we strengthen our focus on winning together.
You will play a critical role in supporting safe business growth by influencing risk management practices, contributing to risk appetite, and ensuring effective identification, escalation and management of risk exposures across the business.
You’ll make an impact each day by:
- Providing robust 2nd Line review and challenge of first line risk management and compliance effectiveness
- Supporting the safe implementation of business strategies through oversight of risk management outcomes
- Delivering input on risk and compliance issues, including the design of effective mitigation strategies and controls
- Ensuring risk appetite breaches, material risks, loss events and deviations are escalated in a timely manner
- Partnering with stakeholders to continuously improve risk practices, processes and behaviours
- Leveraging specialist expertise across Risk teams to strengthen control environments and outcomes
You’ll bring to this role:
- Extensive experience in Risk Management, ideally within Financial Services
- Strong capability in 2nd Line oversight, including reviewing and challenging first line effectiveness
- Proven ability to influence business performance through risk-led decision making
- Expertise across key risk domains including Operational, Credit, Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk
- Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills across senior leaders and business units
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance or a related discipline
