Senior Account Executive (Utilities)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to work in our growing sales team. You will follow up on existing sales leads, complete the cold engagement process and pursue leads generated from marketing activities. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting prospects and explaining the Neara platform and business cases in order to develop relationships with potential customers and identify opportunities. Whilst this role is based in Seattle, we will consider remote work for the right candidate.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing first stage engagements, converting leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with potential customers, from first contact forward. SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete market research to identify sales prospects
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns and convert to sales opportunities
- Present our platform and business cases to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Management
- Report on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
- Stay up to date with platform functionality/associated services and pricing models
WHO YOU ARE
- 2+ years’ work experience as an in a sales role (preferably in tech)
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with CRM software, familiarity with HubSpot is an advantage
- Fluency with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to understand complex SaaS solutions and deliver engaging presentations
- Energy/utility, infrastructure, or GIS industry experience would be ideal
- Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable institution
