Role Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on Engineering Lead to scale and lead our engineering function. This is a technical leadership role—not just management. You’ll drive architecture decisions, write production-grade code, enforce engineering rigor, and ensure high-quality, timely delivery. Ideal candidates have built and scaled systems from 0 to 1 and 1 to 10 in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Responsibilities:

• Own engineering delivery across products, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines
• Uphold high engineering standards through strong architectural and code review practices
• Actively contribute to the codebase—this is not a pure people-management role
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team
• Collaborate with product, research, and customer teams to translate needs into scalable systems
• Drive enterprise-grade practices in observability, reliability, and security
• Build a strong engineering culture focused on speed, quality, and ownership
• Hire and develop top-tier engineering talent

Requirements:

• Proven track record of delivering and scaling modern software products
• Deep full-stack expertise (backend and frontend)
• Strong product sense with an understanding of user and business context
• Up to date with modern frameworks, dev tools, and architectural patterns
• Experience with large-scale enterprise deployments, CI/CD, and cloud-native infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
• Technical credibility to earn the trust of top engineers
• Curiosity and initiative to adopt GenAI tools to accelerate development
• Nice to Have: Experience in startups or early-stage teams scaling from 1 to 10
