Human Resources Director Location: Hong Kong, Shanghai (other location subject to negotiation)
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR function and support the company’s rapid structural and global growth. This role is a key leadership position responsible for managing the overall HR team and operations, as well as continuously improving all HR functions to ensure they are scalable and effective.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can drive strategic HR initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities HR Team Management & Operations:
• Lead and manage the entire HR team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.
• Oversee all daily HR operations. Continuously review and improve existing HR processes and administrative workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall employee experience. Talent Management & Development:
• Develop and implement a robust talent acquisition strategy to attract, hire, and onboard top-tier talent to support the company’s fast growth.
• Design and manage a competitive incentive and compensation scheme that attracts and retains high-performing employees while ensuring internal and external equity.
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive performance review system, ensuring fair and constructive feedback, and linking performance to career development and compensation.
• Create and oversee a development and training program to enhance employee skills, foster leadership development, and prepare the workforce for future roles. Strategic HR & Organizational Growth:
• Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, advising on organizational design, succession planning, and workforce planning to support business goals.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are aligned with the company’s values and business objectives.
• Leverage HR data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency and employee engagement.
• Champion and drive a positive company culture, ensuring it is a great place to work for all employees. Global Business Expansion Support:
• Collaborate with global leadership to support business expansion into new countries and locations.
• Develop and execute strategies for local talent acquisition, ensuring we can hire the best people in new markets.
• Advise on local employment compliance, legal requirements, and regulatory frameworks in new countries.
• Develop strategies for culture adoption and integration in new locations, ensuring a cohesive global company culture while respecting local nuances.
• Identify and manage key HR-related risks in new markets, including labor laws, compensation structures, and employee relations.
Qualification Requirements
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., HR Director or Head of HR).
• Proven track record of managing and developing an HR team and leading HR operations in a high-growth environment.
• Deep understanding in all HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management, and employee development.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting international business expansion, including an understanding of global HR best practices and legal compliance.
• Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• A bachelor's degree or above is required.
A Master's degree or professional HR certification is highly desirable.
• A results-oriented and proactive leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
