One of our early-stage AI portfolio companies building in the healthcare space is looking for an experienced engineer to join them as a Founding Tech Lead.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and mentor the existing team while scaling to 10+ engineers
• Build reliable agent orchestration using Temporal workflows and modern agentic frameworks.
• Lead hiring for critical technical roles, establish engineering culture, and build processes that scale
• Take end-to-end responsibility for system reliability, performance, and compliance in revenue-critical environments
• Navigate HIPAA compliance, healthcare regulations, and audit requirements at the architectural level

Qualifications

• Former founder strongly preferred or significant early-stage startup experience (pre-Series A)
• 5-7 years building production systems that handle real user problems
• Built at least one indie project involving AI/automation
• Strong engineering fundamentals: distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Python, workflow orchestration tools, AWS ecosystem
• Experience attracting and managing high-quality talent
• Comfortable with healthcare/fintech-level regulatory requirements
