One of our early-stage Fintech portfolio companies is building the Middle East's first truly digital wealth management platforms, and they are now looking to hire a Senior Engineering Manager to join the team and report directly to the Founders.

Responsibilities

• Own & lead all technology development end-to-end — from architecture to delivery
• Act as player-coach: writing clean, scalable code while mentoring and setting standards for the team
• Build and optimize highly scalable, secure, distributed systems that handle sensitive financial data
• Work with our core stack: React.js, Node.js/Express.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, MySQL, AWS, Kubernetes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and operations to deliver client-facing features rapidly
• Create and enforce best practices across code quality, observability, and DevOps workflows
• Ensure uptime, reliability, and performance at scale in a regulated environment
• Help build and formalize engineering culture, hiring processes, and team structures as we scale

Qualifications

• At least 6–8 years of professional engineering experience
• Strong full-stack depth (Node.js + React.js)
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and building for scale
• Strong foundation in SQL + NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Comfort working with REST + GraphQL APIs and security best practices
• Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Someone currently already in the region
