Head of Engineering | Series A Fintech

📍 Bangalore | 🤝 Reports to: Co-Founder

We’re hiring a Head of Engineering to own the technical vision and build a high-performing engineering organization at a fast-growing Series A fintech.

This is a true leadership role. You won’t be executing someone else’s roadmap—you’ll set the direction, shape the engineering culture, and scale systems and teams alongside the cofounder.

What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end technical strategy, architecture, and engineering decisions
• Lead and scale the engineering org across backend, frontend, infra/devops, security, and data/ML
• Set the bar for engineering excellence—code quality, reliability, security, and performance
• Build a strong culture of ownership, speed, and accountability
• Partner closely with the founder leading Product as a trusted thought partner
• Guide platform, data, and AI/ML strategy with a focus on real business impact
• Go hands-on where it matters most—critical architecture, scalability, and security decisions

What we’re looking for

• Strong backend and systems background with experience scaling production platforms
• Proven people leader of leaders in fast-growing startups
• Comfort operating in a flat, high-velocity environment
• Ability to balance speed and rigor in a regulated or mission-critical context
• Experience building teams and systems through growth and change
• Fintech or payments experience is a plus, not required
